This painting was inspired by my family. I wasn't just raised by my parents, I was raised in a community built by aunties, uncles, siblings, grand aunts and plenty of other extended family. In my culture family is everything, you do not just have one set of parents, you don't have cousins, you have brothers and sisters. You come from a tribe; a pride of lions.
